Aspect Consumer Partners Advises Château Smith Haut Lafitte on Acquisition of Historic Rutherford Estate and Winery

Rutherford, CA – January 17, 2020 – Château Smith Haut Lafitte of Bordeaux, France, completed the acquisition of a historic 280-acre Rutherford estate in Napa Valley from the Komes and Garvey families.

The estate was founded in 1885 by two brothers from Scotland, James and William Rennie, and known as Flora Springs Estate. The property and winery will be renamed by the new owners, Florence and Daniel Cathiard, as Cathiard Family Estate. The Komes and Garvey families will retain the Flora Springs brand, over 275 acres of Napa Valley vineyards and their tasting room on St. Helena Highway. They will continue to make Flora Springs wines, including Trilogy and Soliloquy, at their new facilities.
