Rutherford, CA – January 11, 2018 – VITE USA (“VITE”), a private investment group created with the purpose of entering the fine wine industry in Napa Valley, has completed its purchase of Sullivan Vineyards in Rutherford, California. The acquisition encompasses the entire historic 26-acre estate and includes the residence, vineyards (planted primarily to Cabernet Sauvignon) and winery, as well as the Sullivan Vineyards brand, inventory, and trademarks.
Sullivan Vineyards was founded by Jim and JoAnna Sullivan in 1972, and is well known for producing small quantities of Bordeaux varietals from its location in the heart of the Rutherford AVA, home to many of Napa Valley’s most highly regarded Cabernet Sauvignon producers. Under new ownership and management, the tradition of fine winemaking will continue, backed by the shared values of long term relationships, meritocracy, effort, passion and excellence. Future plans will focus on continuing to craft the finest quality wines from its Napa Valley estate and further elevating the hospitality and wine club experiences. The Sullivan Estate has been a top Napa Valley destination and remains open for guests by reservation only.
